2015 Exhibition of Quilts


Richmond and Kew Quilters held their exhibition of members’ work at the Landmark Arts Centre, Teddington, in October 2015. The show is one of the larger amateur quilting events in the South East and more than 700 people visited the show over the three days. Almost 140 patchwork quilts plus wall hangings and other exhibits were exhibited as well as a display of vintage quilts.



Raffle quilt...

Visitors had the opportunity to buy tickets to win the group's charity raffle will be drawn. The first prize was a beautiful "Dear Jane" quilt, shown on the right. It had been hand pieced by members and professionally machine quilted. The proceeds went to Trinity Hospice and Breakthrough Breast Cancer (Breast Cancer Now).

Visitors' choice...

Marjolijn Thomas won ‘Visitors Choice’ for her wonderful, colourful and skilled quilt using fabrics from her native Holland. The quilt shown below, was a really beautiful and a well-deserved winner.
